i was wondering if the ecu's stock timing maps are different for s4 and s5 turbo II's, i know the s5 has higher compression ratio so im wondering if the timing retards more than an s4. or what not? anyone have a clue??

reason i ask is because im using a s5 motor in a s4 with s4 electronics... recently it blew.. probably my fault!, but.... was wondering if maybe my timing was to advanced for higher compression.....

 

I'd seriously doubt the .3 difference had much of anything to do with it. The stock maps are by no means aggressive.
