Stock Tach with Carb Setup

Hello,

I am in the process of converting my FC to a carburetor and am trying to figure out how wire the stock tach to read correctly. I will be running 2GDFLIS, where a GSL dizzy, the stock FC leading coil and the FB trailing setup are used for now.

I saw another thread about using an aftermarket tach with the diagnostic bullet connector on the FC coils, but it had a selector to switch between engine types (number of cylinders, so it could adjust for the firing speed of the signal coming in).

So, I have three questions:

1. Will the stock tach accept a signal directly from the FC coil diagnostic plug?
2. If I hook it up to the leading coil, will it read half (or twice) as fast as it should?
3. If it won't read right from the leading plug, is there any way to connect it to the trailing?

Any insight or advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
Kellis
