stock t2 overheating... strange...

my stock t2 temp gauge is at 3/4 when i drive it hard....
so i stopped driving it for awhile... and put in a new thermostat...
but the problem is still there...
the fan still blows.... in fact i get the red "cooling fan" icon on... as soon as my tempguage is half...

would it be my water pump then?
how would i know if it is my water pump or not?

Maybe your fan is shot, thus the cooling fan light.

3/4 and your motor still runs? You have some beefy water seals.

Burp the coolant system AND DON'T FORGET to use an aftermarket temp gauge to test to make sure of the accuracy of your stock one.
