stock stereo doesnt work?

i just got done fixing the light situation on my car and messing with fuses. i replaced all of them and everything works except my stereo??. i disconnected the battery. does that have to do with anything and i heard something about u have to go to mazda about it or something but not sure. any advise guys?by the way i have a 91 TII.

I don't remember the 91 having a code radio...

I suppose its possible since the Miata had one.

anyway what happens when you turn the key on and turn the radio on??? does anything display???

and you did check the radio and room fuses right???

Does the radio turn on? Can you set a radio channel but just no sound comes out?

nope. nothing comes out. i took it to the mazda dealer and they couldnt do ****. they said the cd player is bad hmmm.i hooked my friends stock cd player from his FD sounds like crap and cant turn it up much at all. i dunno what im gonna do

How about replace it since it is crappy anyway?

It may be the "cold solder joints" problem.
I took mine apart and reslodered the pots & connectors. That fixed it, but next time I will just swap it for a new unit.
