stock muffler upgraded exhaust?

Hey Im currentlly working on fabricating an exhaust system from the manifold back. I am doing research to find out the optimal size for unresricted air flow on a 13 b, while still reasonably sized, I am biuling a street legal car not a racer. Also if i fabricate some parts so this bolt up to th stock mufflers, how restrictive are they? Is it even worth the time to use the stock mufflers or should i just fork over the cash for aftermarket mufflers (I was tying to wait on this, because i dont like to skimp and i was going for very high end mufflers)
thanks any information and ideas would be helpful

turbo or non turbo???

Optimum Exhaust pipe size will depend on Turbo or non turbo and single or dual and if dual true dual or collected and "Y"'d dual.

Then there are other variations including emissions and stock exhaust manifold.

yea umm.....didnt feel like posting my own topic about this so ima used this one.

So the question I have is this.
How restrictive is a non turbo muffler.
I want it to be quiet, but not stock quiet since thats a little too quiet.
Im also planning to go true dual in a month, with some custom piping from Racing beat true dual exhuast manifold that I got for free.
I was planning two 2.5 inch pipes from the manifold to 2 dynomax bullet as a resonator then to 2 stock mufflers.

I dont want it to be too restrictive. If the stock mufflers are restrictive what can I use in place of it thats not as restrictive. I like noise, just that I dont want it to sound like Im having an exhaust leak, or running open headers. Something quiet till you slam on the gas.
