stock intercooler question

I did a few searches but ddint really get much info other then arguments towards tmic vs.fmic.. i just wanted to know how much rwhp our stock Tmic can handle, because someone messed up on my stock turbo rebuild so im gettin a proper one from bnr,i dont gotta pay much and im going with stage 3. i'll be easy on it if i have to.. its a 90 t2 with intake and rb turbo back.with proper mods..question now is fmic and money..till then i gotta settle with this..also its a stock mazda reman.. engine..

From what I have heard- the stock intercooler, top mounted is starting be ineffective at the highest boost the stock turbo will put out with a computer.
If your turbo is putting out 13-15 psi- you intercooler is just starting to be a bottleneck- and may not be cooling properly anymore. (lead to detonation)
Only from what I've heard though.
Bigger turbos pretty much nescesitate larger FMIC's.
