Ya all need to back off a bit on the NZ.
There's a old phrase called "Bearding the Lion", and if you participate in that activity you need to beware of the consequences.
For those who are not familiar with that phrase, look here: http://www.usingenglish.com/referenc...s+own+den.html
Or just Google BEARDING THE LION
Just a little bit of humor and advice. Take it for what it's worth. Sort of like "if the shoe fits, wear it".
I am just full of it today.

yea man. Lay off.
NZC is so helpful and answers so many questions in detail and in full, which so many people dont do.
Jason has been so helpful to me over the past year and kiwi bias aside i think he must be one of the most helpful people on this forum

i know it is good to have factual info but sometimes guesses or ~ estimates aren't bad for general info since not everyone has the FSM open at all times on their desktop, i know i don't.
pffft, i guess i won't link to the other forum that i have 18k posts on then, heh.

NZConvertible: JDM FC's ran way more boost, and made 50hp more than US ones. That's why J-spec engines are so cool.
Ive done countless hours of research on the JDM specs and i havent able to find any info suporting that claim. At least not for the s5.

if my memory is bad but close i figure it's still worth posting rather than not and the person not getting any help at all.
i also remember a time when i first started on this forum when NZ just about shooed me away with his glaring but, eh, now i just take it with a grain of salt. if you guys don't want my guesstimates then fine i can always just not post as i don't often spend the extra time digging up the exact info needed but use memory which is not always perfectly accurate and if need be then i dig deeper to find the exact info.
what i'm trying to say is you won't always get the perfect help you need but you will more often than not find someone who is helpful when people like NZ with the exact info needed are not around. yes he is helpful but like sandpaper there is a smooth surface and a very rough surface and you are dealing with both sides.

It's not about accuracy or guessing or whatever. Go back and read my first post and you'll see my frustration comes from the fact that the same mythical number keeps getting posted again and again and again. It's not guessing, it's not bad memory, it's repeating misinformation. Big difference.

Perfect example of, If something is repeated enough when the learner becomes knowlegable they will repeat what they have always been known to be right. This is how the recipe for Greek fire was lost thru the ages. For those who dont know what Greek fire is go here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_fire

i always denote my memory with terms like: iirc, about, ~, etc. to help people realize it may not be perfectly accurate, i just hate it when people jump on my *** for it when just trying to help. sometimes a round number will work fine such as 6PSI vs 6.56PSI which kind of boggles me as to how they came up with such a perfect number for boost, this is not electricity so boost is going to vary widely and it may see that boost for a fraction of a second but never hold at that point.
yes the point on shooting down recurring bad info is not a bad thing though.
