Stock alarm no longer sets-
88SE na auto
My stock alarm has always worked but since I had small engine fire it can't be "set". The security light flashes on when I unlock the door using the key but nothing comes on when I use the inside door lock switch and close the door holding the handle out. The security light used to flash when I did that, can't remember the pattern displayed, now it does nothing. Any suggestions on what to check first would be appreciated. I replaced my primary injectors and their wiring harness plugs, the two wire alternator harness plug, the two wire thermosensor plug on the back of the water pump and the single wire plug and lead for the O2 sensor. I don't think any of these, even if shorted, should cause any problems with the alarm system???
Thanks in advance
Gerrard

Found cause-hood off
I took the hood off to work on the engine after the fire and haven't put it back on yet. The stock alarm system can't be set unless the hood latch switch is in the closed position.
