stock 86 gxl question

wanted to know if the 86 gxl has vented rear brake rotors or regular..? looking to upgrade my rotors but dont wanna buy the wrong ones... thanks

drill slotted and vented are aftermarket

vented. the solid rotors are for the 4 lug and base 89-91 cars

I think he means solid or vented. Not drilled and slotted. Drilled holes, slots, dimples etc. don't mean it's vented. You can have an unvented solid rotor with holes drilled in it, slots milled in it, etc. Venting means that the rotor has hollow vents in it that take heat from both sides of the rotor and allow it to vent.

To answer the original post, YES all S4 GXL's have vented rear discs, as opposed to the base model solid rear discs.

Damn.
