heres the deal...my 88 TII runs fine for about the first 10 minutes of driving, until it warms up, then it begins to idle really low, around 500 or so. as the engine gets hotter the idle will sometimes dip down low enough that the car stalls out. ive already replaced the BAC valve and it didnt help. the car is also using up a lot of gas and backfiring a lot, i dont know if the two are related or not. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Have you pulled codes yet? Sounds to me like a malfunctioning sensor.
