still having problems with air/fuel guage

Rechecked all connections, went out and bought another o2 sensor and still don't get anything when everything is connected. Disconnect the wire from to the computer and I get a green light all the way rich. Strart car, run the throttle up and down, nothing but the one green light. I ohmed out the wire going to the computer and it grounds out. It shouldn't do that should it. Help someone please.

Sounds like you might have a bad gauge then if everything else is correct. I looked at mine, and it is hooked up the same way. power/ground/sensor with the sensor tapped into the O2 wire leading to the ECU. Are you sure you have the correct wire for the O2 sensor going to the ECU?

i had some probelms with my o2 sensor (very unaccurate). i wrapped some wire around the upper thread of the sensor and grounded it to the body. now it works great!
similar story with a mate of mine, he had a 4 wire sensor (including ground) and it wouldn't work until another ground was wrapped around the thread?????????

i think so...

FS3Corg, the wire going to the ecu from the o2 sensor goes into the wire harness that connects to the BAC, at least that was the where it was when I got the car. When I went to hook the a/f guage up, I noticed that the guy before me had one installed at one time, so I wander if he connected the sensor to the wrong ecu wire. Can you help me with theproper wire. Also with it disconnected from that wire, when I first crank up, all the lights come on for split second then it goes all the way rich.
