ok, so I took my air pump off and now it idels high, around 1600. and I know what most of you will say, " check to see if you have an intake leak some were" and i did and there is no leaks. the wierd thing about my high idel is that if I pull back on the gas pedal the idel comes down,down enough that the car will die if I';m not careful which tells me my throttle plate is just stiking open a hair. my question is, does the air pump controll some valve or somthing else besides just putting air back into the cats that would cause this problem, or is it somthing else that just happened to come about the day I took the air pump off?
