still flooded after a month?

its flooded out on me before and by miracle i got it to run again. so anwyay one day at work i had to go run to one of the other stores in town to get a customers car part. he was waiting so i had to hurry. i get in my car, start it up, immediatly put it into reverse and drive to the exit of the parking lot very quicky, and about 2 seconds after i stop to wait for traffic the car sputters a bit and dies. crank it back up, shuts right back off, crank it back up shuts right back off, keeps doing this like 5 or 6 times till it finally just cranks over and doesnt even attempt to start up (what it was doing the first time i flooded it) so i let it roll back into the parking lot and do what i did last time to get it to run again. simoultaniously disconnect fuel pump, take out spark plugs and let it crank over and shoot all that gas out of the plug holes and put brand new plugs in (by the way i put a new fuel pump in when i got the car, then put another new fuel pump in and new plugs last time it flooded). put everything back together and does the same thing. cranks up and shuts off, cranks up shuts off, till it finally just cranks over and doesnt start. do it over again and put everyting back together, same thing. last time the way i got it to start was let it roll down the hill on the street and pop the clutch. we tried it this time over and over and nothing. so its a month later (did i mention this is my "dialy" driver?) and it still will start up but shut off.... wtf? this is really pissing me off. i have a blown turbo motor, tranny, and rear end i want to put in it but i dont have the money right now to send it off to get it rebuilt. i cant keep bumming rides to work for the years it will take me to be able to get it back together.

When my car was doing that, it turns out the AFM was the cause.

-Exact-o knife the black cover off, and make sure the connections inside are all where they should be. Theres a diagram floating around here somewhere.

-The thin peices of metal down at the bottom should not be CROSSED, but only to their own plates. I made sure none of mine were touching, made sure all other lines were straight, plugged it in..and bingo..

Worth a try at least?

do a compression test. check for vacuum leaks. install a fuel cut switch. These are good first steps.
