Stereo Install Help - Where are the front speaker wires?

Hi I'm trying to install a stereo tonight into my 1987 GXL, I got the car last weekend but the stock unit was dead so I'm trying to wire up my aftermarket deck so I can have some tunes going to and from work.

I removed the center console pieces and looked at the stereo wire diagram in the FAQ but noticed that the wiring harnesses only provide wires to the rear speakers. It looks to be a 6-speaker system and the stock unit had the CD/cassete/equalizer set up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I ended up completely rewiring my entire car because the factory pre-amps BLOW!!!! But I didn't want to use stock wiring because if I ever put the factory speakers back in I didn't want it to be a hassle. I used 16ga. rockford fosgate wire. took about 180ft to wire the entire car. Have fun!

For the time being I just want to wire in this deck to the stock speakers (i plan on re-wiring the entire system too with new amps, speakers and wiring in the future) and can't find the wires to the front speakers. There were 3 harnesses, one with 3 wires leading various power things, one with one wire leading to another power thing, and then a harness with 4 wires that went to the rear speakers. There is no other harness with wires to the front speakers...

the front speakers are right beneath the dash, very easy to get to. there are only 2 wires, pull the speakers out and follow the wires (which only travel a max of 2ft.) to the source so you know which is which. but if your using the pre-amps keep in mind your sound is gonna be **** and more than likely you'll blow your speakers if you try to listen to it loud.

Run new wires - the stock wires are junk.
You pay all the money for fancy speakers, but you stick with the nasty stock wiring?
That's just blasphemy...

For the time being I'm going to run off of stock speakers until I can get new speakers as the stock cd/cassette/equalizer doesn't work.

Icemark: I have taken out my center console and the stock unit, there are 3 harnesses and a circle-plug with pins it. The stock system is a six speaker set up instead of a four, which I think has 4 harnesses then. The wire harness kit I got from Best Buy appears to be for the four speaker set up so I'm waiting to call them and ask if they have one for the six speaker set up.
