Hi I have a 88 GXL and im encountering a steering problem, in which the steering gets extremly stiff between 0-5 and also stiffens after i pass 20mph, A new Rack & penion, gearbox, struts, and a rebuilt power steering pump has been installed. when im in the 0-5 mph range i have rev it just to get the wheels to turn usualy up to about 1500-2000 revs, after it passes 20mph it doesnt get as stiff but still hard to turn, i was told the only thing it could be left that is causing it to do it is a. either i got a fualty power steering pump, or b. its the steering column. if anyone can give me advise or has had a smilier problem and had it fixed please respond.
