steering causes rpms to drop?

steering causes rpms to drop?

I noticed today at an intersection that, when I turn my steering wheel left or right away from center, my RPMS will drop off a bit. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Dude its from your powersteering pump having to use engine power to pump fluid to turn your wheel's.

check your PS fluid level to be sure its not running low
