Steering angle signal beep.... but why?

Alright im posting this for a buddy of mine we know what the beep is, weve even changed the part out for a known good one, but after about 2 minutes of driving the ****** beeps non stop, no matter what. He did install a new steering wheel, but ive checked it over more then once and everything is top shape. What Im wondering is if there is a special procedure for installation.

I have installed about 3 aftermarket wheels on my fc before, and I installed them all the same as I did his, so this is what im having a hard time figuring out what it is.

If it helps any, it first started with the 3 beep power steering, then that went away and everything was okay for about 2 days, until now where we get the five beep steering angle sensor.

Any ideas? He kinda thinks its possible that his aftermarket hub is crummy as he said he got it on the cheap, but to me it looks O.K

All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh and it is not because the tabs are not on the hub, because the auto shut for the signal flashers work like a charm. Is it possible the power steering comp is toast??? but wouldnt that just give 3 beeps? damn car haha if it were me id just cut the alarm and have it done with because everything else is working but he doesnt like that idea.

interesting, I recently re-finished my steering wheel and I get the same thing. Although it seems like 1 repeating beep more than 5. I have noticed that my alarm does not work properly since this has started, so I will be removing my steering wheel to make sure everything is lined up properly

I'm the one having this issue,
It actually started with the 2 beep signal - speed sensor signal, then i removed the wheel as it was slightly cocked. I reinstalled the wheel again and all was good for about 10 mins when it started to do the 5 beep signal. It would only beep occasionally, and would stop when I would turn the wheel fully to the left, and start again 10 mins later. I removed the wheel to see if anything was broken with the sensor. and found some plastic chunks on the inside..I installed a used steering angle sensor which seems to be in top shape, reinstalled the wheel and i continue to get the 5 beep signal, although the indicator shutoff is fine. does anyone have an good install as to how to install a wheel or maybe how to center the steering angle sensor? thanks
