Question Steam Clean Engine???

Hi All,
I need to steam clean the engine compartment. Other than the obvious (air cleaner) what else should I seal off from water/degreaser???
Thanks, Gary

Remove the alternator off of the car, and remove the ground terminal from your battery (before removing the alt). Try not to inject water directly into electrical connectors...I've pressure washed mine several times this way...

Ive found that if you just spray the metal parts with de-greaser... spray some wd-40 or what have you all over the engine, (plastic, metal, whatever) just not on something you KNOW shouldn't get sprayed (belts, etc) and then blow everything off with compressed air, it works pretty damn good. That of course isnt going to get the stubborn ****, but does make everything nice and shiny

Probably NOT the best thing I'm doing... but its working so far.
