starts and takes off

shes a 87 auto car and i have no clue at this point. you start the car and it goes even in neutral. no reverse and it seems like the tranny is dragging on the engine.
anyone have any ideas?

Manual swap it.

The auto trans is probably bad, replace it with a used one. I would highly recommend swapping in a manual though.

The swap really isn't that bad. Worst part is getting your crossmember welded if you Dont weld or know someone who does. But there are shops for that.
