so my car will start up and run and will die out in a few minutes. then when i try to start it up again it will only crank. the battery at this point has 12.8 volts but on the battery gauge in the dash will be around 9 volts. if i charge the battery some more it will start up again and do the same thing.

at the same time an oil line burst, the starter failed and the add coolant light buzzes

the oil line and starter have been replaced

the alternator belt had some play but was tightened

and once in a while the new starter doesnt engage

also the ground wire is in rough shape but the car still has power when it dies ex: dash and radio are on but im not sure if a bad ground wire would cause a car to die out

im not that good with driveability so any help will be greatly appreciated

So you tested the battery voltage with a DMM? and it was 12.8V?

and the dash says 9? sounds like you have grounding issues, pull off the battery ground off the chassis and clean it up, even replace the wire if need be
