Starting to get some tranny whine, thinkin' the ol girl needs a rebuild...
Has anyone ever actually come up with a complete rebuild kit for a 7s' transmission? None of the threads about it seem to have any closure, with locations/prices of parts.. My tranny has about 225k on it, and it's starting to exhibit a bit of tranny whine as you increase speed. It is also leaking around the rear seal. I was thinking that some new bearings and seals would do it well, as well as some new syncros while I'm in there.
I'd like to take care of this problem, as I plan on having the car down for the winter for a forced induction project, as well as replacing/repairing my LSD, suspension bushings and tranny and diff mounts. Maybe I'll get around to a few other toys, too
Since I'm here, does anyone know of the best rebuild kit for the S4 GXLs' LSD?

AFAIK, it's never been overhauled, and I haven't been too easy on it since I owned it (around 210k)...

I'll see what would be more cost effective vs. life.. I'd hate to get a used turbo driveline in, and have it go out in a couple of thousand miles. For the first time in my life, I've finally got the money to do things right, so I'd prefer to get it done properly
