Starter install not going as planned.
Ok my starter just went out so i bought a new one and put it on, there are 4 wires and i cant figure out where each on goes. The thin wire goes on the little connector i know that much but the jumper from the starter motor to the solonoid was on the left bolt when i bought the new one but my old starter had it ran to the right bolt, so im not sure if i should run the 12v power to the right bolt and the jumper to the left bolt or the other way around like my old starter was. Now there is also a big ground cable from the battery that normally is bolted to the upper mounting bolt for the starter. When i installed a new clutch, i connected the ground to the mounting bolt and it would not start so i took the ground off and let it dangle and it would start. from what i could see, that is the only cable connected to the negative terminal wich means that with it just dangling there the car is not grounded making an incomplete circuit but everything worked like that. If somebody knows exactly what wire goes where I realy need to know or if somebody could go out to there car and look real quick cuz i cant drive my car right now so please help fast, thankx.

there should be a little green wire that has a black conector that goes ontop of the selinoid. the power wire goes on the post that doesnt have the metal plate that runs into the starter. the fround wire should be bolted somewhere to the starter body (ie at the tranny) or on the tranny. what other wires are there?
