It started!!!!

i've been doing a s5 motor and trans swap on my 10ae for the last month, been having a lot of fun with the wiring.
but just 2 minutes ago it finally lit off!!!!!
the only problem is, it immediately reved all the way up to like 9k.
i'll check it out after work tommorow, but i'm thinking maybe it is because i decided not to put the air pump on?
If anyone has input please feel free to give me your thoughts, it would be appreciated.
and after i get it figured out, i will be posting a complete step by step of the swap.
thanks guys! have a good weekend!
Jake

Definitely not the air pump.

When I did my S5 TII swap I used a S4 throttle cable and it did the same thing, turns out the throttle cable cables and cable brackets are different.

Here is a pic of the two brackets, the S5 is on the right:

^^^That sounds like it. Take the throttle cable off and try to start it.

When I installed JDM S5 T2 manifolds into my s4 T2, I had to modify the bracket for the throttle and cruise control cables.

also a stuck AFM can do similar results. push the flapper door just to double check as it's free to do i have had this problem on about 4 old rx-7s when they just start up. it only takes as little as 6 months of sitting for it to get seized up.
