My 88 GTU still starts fine, but does not rev at 3000 rpms for 15=20 seconds like it use too. It now only goes to 2000 and warms up from there. Any major problem with that?

 

THE accelerated warm up thing is not necessary and I think it actually hurts the insides of your engine since it stresses them when they are most vounerable: cold and unlubricated. Does the car drive like it always has?

What is the deal with the power going down when I touch the brakes and turn the steering wheel while idle.

 

Mine does this a little too. I think it has something to do with the BAC but the fact that our cars have weak electrical systems does not help.

 

I'm pretty sure that problem is a problem with the electrical system. especially if the idle goes down when you operate other accesories. (although its normal for it to do a quick dip, even if things are working right
