Start problems
Smelled gas last few weeks. Pulled car out of garage, went to pull it back in and won't start. Engine turns. Have all power. just grinds when I try to start. New battery, new starter, new alternator in the last year! Help please.
If it grinds everytime i'd take a look at the ring gear. try turning the engine a little way by hand so you end up on a different part of the flywheel, then try to start it. or you can look through one of the inspection plates with a flash light while somebody turns it and look at the condition of the teeth.

Unless you don't mean a litteral grinding, in which case i'd say it's flooded.

Probably just extremely flooded. Search for "unflooding".
As for the gas smell, that's bad. The pulsation damper on these cars tends to leak, which sprays hot fuel onto the exhaust manifold. This is bad. If you search for "pulsation damper", you will find inspection and replacement instructions. DO IT NOW before you or the car burns to death.
