stand a lone vs. normal
first off, what are the major differences in the normal system and a standalone? i don;t know much about it.
and i have read that you can remove more from the engine bay when you have a stnadalone, is this true?

"stand alone" implies it's an aftermarket EMS of some sort.  These typically require custom installation and professional tuning.  If you don't have a good grasp of modern fuel injection and ignition timing experience, I would not recommend going stand-alone...unless you got a lot of money.

Like RETed said, a standalone EMS is very complicated to tune, so you would need to pay someone to do it for you. Installation isn't quite so bad, but once again it's not for a novice. For a street car, a standalone EMS sells for $800-4,000, and installation/tuning runs around $500-3,000.
