stainless mufflers
One of my tips recently rusted off of my stock mufflers and i have been meaning to get some exhaust work done for some time now. I was just wondering if any of you have had luck running stainless mufflers.. i know rotary's like to toast some of the aftermarket mufflers and i don't want to pay for new stock ones. Any suggestions?

I once had a Borla SS cat-back on my 90 GXL, but replaced it after about a year with an HKS cat-back. The problem is that SS exhaust systems are usually much thinner gauge than steel exhausts, and consequently more noisier due to less noise attenuation thru the pipes. In other words, the thinner SS material does not muffle the exhaust noise as well as a thicker steel material.
The Borla SS cat-back was designed so that the Borla mufflers had to be used with their y-pipe, and vice-versa. I am not aware of a manufacturer that sells SS mufflers that will directly replace the stock mufflers. I am not saying that there are none, but I am not aware of any.

Stainless Mufflers
I have a pair of stainless mufflers on my N/A. Check our www.racingbeat.com. They sell a set of mufflers that look killer and do an excellent job of muffling the sound.
