So I was trying to find a heater hose for my car for the past couple of days, they only carry molded rubber hoses. I also got a speeding ticket from frustration of running around town to find one.

I'm looking around ebay, i know the heater hose is 5/8 inches in diameter.

I was wondering if this will work as long as I have no kinks in it.

The 1st item looks very good.
The 2nd seems pricy, unless you really want the bling.
Or - just go to your near by NAPA store & get some of their premium hose.

 

You really need the preformed hoses, and the bends are tight, and there is too much things in the way.
I don't like the 2nd type of hose / pipe listed, cause now you've just doubled the number of connections that can leak.
Drop the money for the stock preformed rubber hose, or it's going to be a headache trying to re-engineer what Mazda did right the first time.

spend the money and go with the performed hoses. I tried using straight hose and elbows, but it didn't work out. I got all new heater hoses from Vic Hubbard's and spent less than $30

Your local hydraulic shop can hook you up with the appropriate hose. I use silicone hose made by Thermopol. It's actually heater hose used on the big-rig trucks. With a set of t-bolt clamps, it will never leak. The drivers side is easy since you can make a long arc with the hose, but the passenger side is more tight so you need to use a hard 90 degree made of fittings. Or, swap the two locations so that the passenger pipe crossed the top of the engine to the driver side, and the drivers side connects to the passenger. Might not be possible with a stock intake though.

 

Get rid of the heater core?
