The only ting I have to say to the people arguing in this thread is.
FAST and CHEEP are 2 words that should NEVER! Be used together!
Here is some more accurate info for you. FAST = Expensive and more fatigue.
Cheep = do it twice and spend the same money as if you did it right and still end up with broke crap.
And to the asshat who leaves me -rep messages saying NO! Don't call me when your ***** on the side of the road.

i have searched and only found 1 picture of a broken manifold on a honda and that was in an accident if you look at the picture the whole front of the car has been ripped off and thats why the manifold broke i bet no brand name manifold could withstand an impact like that either and the other one was a compressor cover in half which the owner claims was glued together and i can assure you mine isnt and his wasnt when new either just someone trying to stir **** seams people dont like it when someone gets the same stuff for half the price why is it when a garrett turbo fails there is always a logical explanation behind it yet if someone "claims"there ss auto one breaks its because of poor quality it amazes me how everyone on this forum seams to have the test equipment to determine the quality of steel in there manifolds or equipment to test their intercoolers, how does this happen do you buy this equipment on the off chance a company is formed and they sell crap products and you want to be able to tell the world. i dont think so, im no engineer but i bet equipment like that costs thousands if you all have this much money why are you driving rx7 shouldnt you be in the latest ferrari or is it possible your full of it and just making wild accusations like i said wheres ya proof

Turbonetics are based on Garrett designs.
I can't confirm this, but I think Turbonetics does pay Garrett a licensing fee?
Turbonetics does own the rights to Rajay, I believe.
And before you assume Turbonetics does no R&D, try look up some SAE papers from Bob Keller.

Personally, I think Turbonetics turbos are crap and overpriced.

To me using a product without any R&D is like using a condom which has a name you never heard of. It works for a while, but eventually it breaks and you're up **** creek with an expensive problem.
Good for you Martin, I guess our opinions differ on what is quality to put on our cars.

but their manifold is another story. This Is the manifold that replaced the tubular one. I had a faster spool with the tubular, but w.e. this costs 5x's less.

HKS use garrett as well, doesn't mean anything.. the companies you speak about start with a VERY good product and build on it.. not copy hack it low end materials and then tell you toos off when( and it will ) breaks.
As for SSAC/OBX/Megan I've seen an SR header just reciently, ordered a few months back that snapped.. I've had the unfortunate experience of installing ( which led to my banning of these parts in my shop) an SR turbo elbow that was sitting on the steerer tube..SSAC comment was , "so? not my problem"..
Both he product and customer service are of dismal proportions.. but yet people are more then willing to accept questionable parts and no service to save a few bucks.. and they people wonder why the store shelves are stocked with cheap crap and get poor service. Apparently from the sucess of SSAC that allot of people like it that way..
but then thier are those of use who will spend GOOD money to GET good products.. this argument has turned into something similar to a pro life debate... you've got two sides very opposed and neither will see eye to eye ever..
So sit back and watch the idiots bust up on the road. Just hope that they don't end up hurting anyone but themselves.. darwin has his ways of inducing kharma..
BTW nice step down transition and clean up in that manifold.. *shudder*

you need to look with your eyes. is it coincidence that the car with the broken manifold has had the front ripped off it i think not, car accidents will do funny things like that to manifolds as for the compressor wheel to be honest i dont know enough about turbos one thing i can tell you though is that thats a masterpower turbo and they are made by a totally seperate company nothing to do with each other i had this confirmed by the local masterpower dealer this proves my point people trying to mislead others into buying there products

You need to read with your eyes. That IS an ssac turbo with a masterpower front cover. The honda with the missing front end.... Take a closer look at that manifold. Frontal impact would have bent the runners down. Funny... cause they are still in the origional position. Oh, and it looks like IT LOOKS like the guy hacked out alot of his bumper supports and so forth to fit a bigger intercooler in there... but of course, I'm no honda guy, so I couldn't tell you for sure. i.e. race only.
Bottom line, if a seller is going to be that shady about one product, I'm not going to roll the dice with any thing else they sell.
