srearching for a reasonably priced street port...

my motor in my 89 gxl is on its last legs and i want to get a street ported engine vs. and mazda reman.

where is the best place i can get a quality engine without spending too much?

Best but cheapest do not go hand in hand. There is a thread floating around which covers this and lists many engine builders.

If you are willing to ship the engine out then you have a few good choices. My top two shops to recommend to you are Rotary Resurrection in TN and Rotary Evolution in Northern California. Both shops do incredible work, have great customer service, and have really good pricing. I can't speak for Rotary Resurrection, but I do know that Rotary Evolution also comes with a warranty. Rotary Resurrection is a great builder.

He does offer a warranty. I think it is one year.

I'm going on 50k on my TII block from him.

Just remember to do everything right the first time and don't skimp on cleaning/replacing parts and you'll have a reliable fun car.

I have heard nothing but positive things about the above mentioned shops. The pricing is great. I have been loyal to Rotorsportsracing. Very pricey but results are incredible. Just thought I would add my .02 on shops.

BTW did everyone know about Brian's accident? He totaled his 3rotor beast and ended up in the hospital for six weeks with very serious head trauma. But he's back now and has been slowly getting up to speed. Has anyone else ever used RSR?

Yes, I have known about RSR for a long time. I'm originally from Charlotte and I have nothing but good things to say about that shop. Like you mentioned, they are expensive. But if you have the money, it's worth what you pay. I'm sorry to hear about Brian, but I'm glad that he's ok now.
