squeaking/metal scratching in transmission

Hey guys I have a 89 turbo fc and did an engine swap. Last year and everything ran good that my friends and I did was good till now. So only makes the sound when its low in rpms like I'm decelerating in any gear it sounds like two mice are going at it...now It also makes a whining noise when I kick in the boost maybe about halfway up the boost gauge. Now did not tightened something down all the way or maybe its the pilot bearing? Which I don't think I replaced..and I don't think because I don't remember I remember the throwout bearing but not the pilot.. be gentle..

squeak sounds like a u-joint seizing up.

the turbo noise could be a boost leak or a turbo on its way out. check the turbo for shaft play and make sure all couplers are tight and vacuum lines attached.

Driveshaft u-joints, maybe?

The "squeaking mice" description doesn't really suggest anything obvious.

Found a boost leak fixed it. Seems now the noise happens whenever I'm decelerating in any gear any rpm and I realized that my friends and I didn't changed the pilot bearing when we did the swap..could that be it?

If your hydraulic clutch line had a tear it wouldn't work at all. I'd follow the suggestions above and check out your u-joints.

The art and science of diagnosis is dead.
