Spun a bearing? What do you think?

Well my rebuild has 4k miles on it. I rebuilt it myself, But i did not replace everything due to cost of course.

Maybe I should have took extra time and do it right,
But now i am thinking of pulling my engine Again, (great fun)
I have Internal Knocking. But idles ok. Minor cutting out as knocking takes place. I am not sure what to make of it.

I reused to rotor bearings. They had Minor wear. hints of copper showing. (yes i know).
what is the likely hood my rotor is making contact with the housings? and can this happen? I figured i had more wiggle room than i did. But maybe not.

Its also possible i spun a bearing, But i never have spun a bearing in the past.
So i am not sure if the engine would even run with a spun bearing or not.

It knocks on decel. when idle the knock comes in and out. It happens every three fires of the front rotor. That's where it sounds like it is coming from. I checked oil pressure and its there so i didn't break a chain.

I will be pulling it apart. Starting tonight. I have no other choice. But i wanted to have an idea what to be looking for as i take her down. I have gone over every possible issue in my head. However i wont really know Untill its apart.

I am hoping i can tell what it is when i take it apart.

TY

Anytime a rotary sounds like it has a mild rod knock at about 3000rpm that is a dead giveaway that you have spun a bearing. Usually this will also damage the rotor side seals and iron faces and reduce compression significantly. You can check for metal shavings in the oil filter pedestal and the oil pan for confirmation. You can even go so far as to pull each stat gear, one by one, and examine the main and rotor bearings that way.
