NM Spring rates for coilovers?

I drive an 87 FC and am about to put down a lump of cash on a set of Stance SS+'s, and have the ability to choose what spring rates i want. They come default with 9k, 7k, but at one point i was told it wouldn't be a bad idea to decrease that gap. IE 9k, 8k or 8k, 7k. I'm not sure. I'll be doing mostly DDing but will be out almost every friday with friends doing some spirited driving and may have quite a few track days thrown in there, and by no means do i want to sacrifice performance for comfort. So with that in mind, what do you all suggest i go with? What have you gone with, and how do you like it? Even if you stuck with the stock 9k 7k I'd like to hear your opinions. Will going with a 9k, 8k encourage more oversteer? That seems logical but no one can give me a straight answer...

No. More rear roll stiffness with increase oversteer. What you have there should be fairly balanced with a lean towards understeer if you have stock sway bars.

I run 7k 5k on my stance. Feels like a good compromise of comfort and handling. I may add some helper springs to get more droop. I still have trouble making it up angled driveways. I have an 88 vert

I have a set of Stance GR+ that I am in the middle of installing this weekend. At the pace I am going I may have the both fronts done by tomorrow. I talked to the Stance Tech Service department. I thought the as supplied 9K/7K sring rates were a bit excessive. They told me that you can go +/-2 K on the spring rates with the stock valving. So I ordered a set of HyperTech 400 lbs (7.2K) front and both 300 lbs (5.4K) and 275 lbs (4.9K) rear springs along with rear helper springs for full droop (making the kit the GR+ Pro). The idea is to install the coil overs with the adjustments on the struts/shock at full soft and work my way firmer. The target ride height is the same as I had before with the KYB AGX / Eibach combo. The roads around here are not the best. For track day events I can always turn the adjustment up firmer as needed. I have an n/a S5 and I am running RB S5 sway bars front and rear as well as 225/45 tires on 8.5"rims front and rear.
