spontaneous codes
well here is my situation. Only once in a while ill start flashing codes out of the blue. usually im only throwing a code 11 which i know is the air intake therm sensor. But only once in a while ill throw a code 25 a code 30 31 33 34 35 40 and 42. Im worried about all but one which is the code 25. is it possible that it could be vaccuum related? i know i have a pretty bad leak somewhere in the system which i plan on going all silicone hoses. It also only seems to do it on humid days. I do have a spare jspec omp which im sure works. My question is that is the one already in my car possible ok, but because of the vac leak, its causing it to throw codes? thanks -alex

Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll............since all the solenoids are fed from the same source or power, and that 12v passes thru the MAIN RELAY, it's possible the MAIN RELAY's contact for that source of 12 for the solenoid, is corroded/flakey OR the 30 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box is falkey OR there is a common connector after the MAIN RELAY that is intermittent.
So make sure both connectors are on the MAIN RELAY good and the fuse in the fuse box is inserted good and proper. That seems to be a fairly good explanation for all the codes coming on at one time.
Sorry, no series five car here. But if a code 11 is the intake sensor on the throttle body, just make sure the contacts are clean and the plug is in good condition. It should NOT be related to the other codes since it's not directly tied to the 12v source of power for those other sensors/solenoids. There is another intake temp sensor but it's located on the afm. Actually inside the afm. I'd bet it's the other intake temp sensor though.

^^ wow, I didn't think of that.
BTW: That intake sensor harness has a nasty habbit of popping off the DC everytime I check anything in the engine bay. Its like whenever I touch the TB/DC it just magicaly ups off the sensor.
