split air pipe..? what to do?

hey guys,

so I was changing my exhaust and I saw that the split air pipe is just hanging there after I put in my headers.

will that turn on any engine light on ? or affect the performance on the car.

what can I do to this pipe , because I don't want to damage it because I will later on put on the cats for emissions test.

I was doing some research on the purpose of this pipe and its to pump air into your cat so its won't burn up.

If you have an S4 N/A. You will need it.

If you have an S5 N/A you will not need it.

If you have a catalytic converter, leave it hooked up to the cat.

If you do not have a cat, disconnect at hose from lower intake manifold and put away in garage.

If you have a TII (S4/S5) with no cat, not needed. If you have a TII with cat, needed.

Does your high flow cat not have a flange to connect the split air pipe to?
