This is for my 89 GTUs NA...Not sure how it happened, but the aluminum piece that holds the speedo gear in the trans cracked. The mounting tab completely broke off.

I am in need a replacement. Does anyone know if this part is interchangeable between S4 and S5 transmissions? I’m thinking about hitting up the dealer, but if anyone has a used one for sale, my paypal account is ready to make a deposit into yours.

I can't say I've noticed any difference between that part on S4 & S5 transmissions. The speedometer cables themselves are interchangeable, so the part it threads into should be as well.

See if a dealer can order it, or find someone with a junk transmission that doesn't mind selling you a tiny part of it.
