speedometer

when i first bought the GTU my speedo gauge didnt work..from the seepd guage the lights are out too anyways i thought it was just the cable so i changed it and it still aint working what esle should i check?

make sure the gear in the tranny is good, and that your cluster is good

ok today i finally got a chance to change my speedo cable after i changed it took it for a spin and my speedometer is not steady its bouncy. why is that? i double checked my connection its all in and tight

Mine was bouncy for the first few days after I changed it.
It got better by itself after that.

give it a few days, if it is still bouncy, check the little white collar that locks the cable in its spot behind the guage cluster, with out it, the cable can loosen up or just fall out

crap inside the hole where the cable goes into the cluster can cause that too....
