Speed Senstive Steering Removal?

Is there any way to remove or disable the speed sensetive steering? I sometimes get a bad grinding feel/noise when moving slow or stopped while turing the wheel, also I get alot of play in the steering while driving and I really don't like it....

Assuming you're talking about the road-speed sensitive type. You can disconnect the control computer, which will set a fixed level of assist equal to 50 mph. But disconnecting any inputs will initiate a warning beeper.
Go through the online service manual for more info.
From your description, though, sounds like you may have ball joint / tie rod wear or bad wheel bearings .
