i noticed the thread made bout a persons speed at 3000 rpms in 5th gear i have a T2 and i found it weird that im going like 65 mph in 5th gear when im purring along at 3 grand. it may be more like 67 mph or 66 but close enough.

 

im wondering if any other T2 owners are at about the same place.

 

3k in 5th gear is 80mph for me.

find out the stock rear end gear ratio and if its about 3 1/2 its to much

 

hm this is odd.. is this a bad thing ive got a 87 T2, racing beat turbo back, fcd, hks intake, walbro pump.

 

hm im wondering if anyone else is experiencing this cus all my other gears are alright my 2nd gear is good for 60 and 3rd i havent really paid attention but 2nd i have then i paid attention in 5th once i read that one thread.
