Spark Plug question

Does anyone know the difference between trailing and leading spark plugs? I don't know which ones to buy? Do I need to buy four of each?

I use this little memory aid:

L = leading plugs, go in the LOWER plug holes

T = trailing plugs, go in the TOP plug holes.

Gotcha...2 trailing and 2 leading. Match them up in the housing. Thanks for the info.
