Spark Plug Question

Well I just went out and bought parts for my first tune up with a rotary engine and about ten minutes after I bought them my friend told me, who does not own an RX-7 btw, that there are two different types of plugs needed for the engine, longer plugs that go on the top and shorter plugs that go on the bottom. Is this true and do I have to get new plugs? These are the plugs btw plugs

tank?

Funny the Picture Doesn't look at all like the Platinums...the 7's and 9's do not have an electrode stickin out from the Bottom of the Plug. The Outer Bottom of the plug is basically the ground Electrode,And the center is a Little bit recessed in the Middle...I Sent you off a PM RJPBBOI..and gave you a little info on the Plugs/with location and Part #'s For NGK..Good Luck..Misterstyx69
