47 views and no posts? i think people here care more about the technical aspects (like tuning the engine and electronic system) of thier cars more than turning it into another ricer. - all show, no go, stupid stickers, bad exhuast, ... the list goes on.

Let us know how it turned out. The stock seats don't last forever. I've three cars and one respectable set of seat. I'm somewhat like you ....looking for a good set of aftermarket seats, but not some cloth covered piece of fiberglass that looks good from a distance. I even ordered a set of seats from a place for eight big ones and got a E-Mail back from them saying that they probable wouldn't fit right (why list them then?) and I canceled the order. Corbeau seats I believe. You might put that name in a web search for them and take a look at what they have. It was decent of the guy to tell me that I might not be happey with the seats.

no kiddin bro. I dont know about how rice the seats are i know my bolsters are broke and under hard cornering i slide a bid because of it. So Im not really looking for something like bright red sparco seats so i can be cool - more looking for something that keeps me in my seat on the way to work - and when im laying the smack down on boys -

Yeah, broke bolsters. The one in the 86 car jabs my butt and I can't drive for more than a hour or so til it just bugs the hell out of me. Try the Sparco's and let us know how it works out. Also I edited my post above and mention Corbeau seats.

my my bro's car HAD torino's and they blow *** IMO. me thinks its a seats more towards looks besides support. same with the recaro srd that used to be in my s13, i didnt like it either. right now i have sparco sprint in the s13 and i like it 100X better than the torino or srd. a sparco corsa or bride artis lll navi will work its way into my fc...

i had a torino in my fc, it went in pertty well (its not a bolt in though) but i found it to be uncomfortable. it had no back support. the torinos are also heavier than the t2 seats

i have a recaro pole position now, and its 100% better, in comfort and quality (the sparco was showing wear after 2 days!)

one problem i see is that there arent many that tilt back - and that is important to me - if i need to sleep in the car or something for real.

the lack of support the seat offers. but its all preferance becuase im a full bucket type of guy. i mean if you just want something "sporty" and looks good and dont have the need for super holding monstar powers.... the quality is there and it should last a while unlike those ebay knock off's that the fabric wears out within a month.

what are you going to use the seat for?

Sport Compact Mag did an article that cevered like 73 different seats like that and tested guys of different waist sizes in them. Can I post a scan of the article or will I get in trouble with the mods?

If the comfort and reclinability of a seat is importanat to you - there is another option. Look at used OEM seats from other cars. There are a lot of cars out there that come stock with very supportive and attractive seats, that are well padded and recline as well. You'd have to fab up mounting brakets, but then again you'd have to do that with Aftermarket seats as well.

I've seen FC's with seats out of Stealth's, Celicas, Civic Si-R's and S2000. You can buy seats out of wrecked cars that are only a few years old, and they will have minimal wear and last a long time.

If you are looking for a racing seat, this might not be the best option, but if you just want a seat that is a bit more supportive than the one you have, take a look around.
