sounds like a tractor....
im about to buy this car from a lot. is a 90 GX. paint is fading but the interior is pretty much perfect. air pump is removed, and I saw what looked to be an RB header and some other kind of exhuast,
anyways, at idle, the thing sounds like a friggin tractor, or a loud diesel engine. when I hit the throttle a litttttle bit it goes awa.
im not sure if it old exhaust components making the noise or what. it sounded like it was coming from the AFM, but that doesnt make any sense. it must be coming from the header / aux port area.
any ideas?

You have an exhaust leak... lol.
I know the sound because I lived with it for several months on my TII. I'd honestly feel around under the car, around the header/exhaust pipes (try not to burn yourself, lol) and see if you can physically feel the exhaust leak.
If no, don't worry the problem *can* be fixed fairly easily. You know it's an exhaust leak, so if you do buy the car; remove the exhaust, replace the gaskets and re-tighten the bolts/nuts making sure you've got some good crush washers to hold everything secure.
Before you buy the car, make SURE you check the compression (among many other things).

yeah I think he may not have used a gasket when he installed the header n stuff. I have a custom 3" single I have on my car right now, ill prob be putting that on.
Should I used my custom down pipe to rb preseilencer, or rb header to rb presilencer. would the rb header be THAT much louder? would the hp increase be worth it?
