sorry guys. last time i SWEAR!!

ok i got another rx7. its my old one. the guy that sold it back to me wired the fuel pump up to a switch. the wires that he ran it to go under the dash. i need to know do those go to the ecu? i mean there no where near the fuel pump itself. and what can make my 86 n/a not spark?? would the stripping of the fuel pump wires give the ecu no power?? how can i test if the ecu is getting power. it just turns over and doesnt even try to start. there is no spark either. help please

Check the underhood fuses. The fuel pump wires under the dash wont have anything to do with it.

The wires he ran go to teh fuel pump relay, under teh dash beside the steering colum. It is black with a yellow bas and white 5 wire gang plug. The wire goes to teh middle black wire with white stripe. This is fuel pump power supply, and what you are doing when flipping the switch is cutting the fuelpump's power.

He did it the right way and the best way, Ive been doing it for a couple of years now.

He knows what he's doing, meybe you should let him look at your other t2

Go to the ECU under the passengers feet. Pull the small plug off. With the key on, put a meter on 3i and 3j. They are the ones on the end. Heck, you should also have 12v at 3c, e, f and h also. With the plug connected, the wires are numbered from right to left going from the top row to the bottom row then back to the top row then the bottom row and on and on. As 3A far top right row. 3B bottom far right row etc. Gotta go back to work.
