sometimes my car won't go in to gear

ya, sometimes my car doesn't go into gear and everytime i push the clutch down i hear a chafing noise, is it the pilot bearing or the throw out bearing?the tranny shifts as smooth as a babies bottom when it works btw

I would make sure that your clutch master and slave cylinder is working properly before checking any thing else. High milage cars usally would need a new throw out bearing (possible cause of the noise) but most of the time that wont keep you from going in to gear. Good luck!

throwout bearing will usually make noise when the clutch is pressed in.. so it does indeed sound like one, but as the poster before me said, that usually wouldnt keep it from going into gear..

yup I agree I changed mine out with redline mt90 and everything works fine now! I used to have the same problem as you.
