Something really Wrong! Maybe axle?

Something really Wrong! Maybe axle?

I fixed this 91 na up and it drove fine, but felt like it needed an alignment. My dumb *** never got an alignment and it started (probably about 3000 miles later) making a noise like ththump, ththump, like a tire was flat or something. I checked the tires and they all look pretty good. It gradually has been getting worse and today when i was parallel parking going into reverse it thumped real bad. When i drove back home tonight it sounded horrible, especially when i made left turns. Do you think it is an axel, tie rod, really bad alignment with unevenly worn tires (didnt check the tires too well)?

If its making that sound when you turn it could likely be the axels.. Id check those first. if thats not it then work your way arround the suspension.. oh btw.. did you get the wheel on flush?? if not that could be the problem..

Im pretty sure i put the wheel on flush, but that's a good pt. I'll check that. If it is the axle, should i replace both? Also, i dont have much free time, how much would a shop charge? If i do it myself about what kind of time are we talking?

pull the wheels off and check the axels for excessive play. you can usualy tell by that right away if they need to be replaced. You may or may not have to replace both.. It shouldent take you over an hour or so to replace one. shops will charge out the *** to do this..
