so as much as i appreciate the sounds of my motor, i would really like to have my radio working again.

when i bought the car, it was working but a little weak. it would cut off ocasionally and i would hit the side of the center councel a few times and it would continue to play what ever was on.

then one day it just completely stopped and it hasnt started up since.

i checked all the wires which all seem intact, and the botom half of the radio lights up. (i have a s5 GXL radio)

anyone know what could be wrong with it???

 

The radio itself is probably bad.

 

I'ma be getting a new stereo system for my 88 SE, I could ship you my stock radio if you would like.

 

I would say dead radio. Went aftermarket Clarion and never looked bacc. Hated that I had to rig it the way i did to get the doors to work on the convertable sence the amps no longer work
