very nice S4 TII. I wish more people would realize how awesome the S4 looks and show them off a bit more. All the S5 guys think THEY have the better looking car

53,000 miles, very nice find. Very nice paint as well. Much better than mine.

Definatly a very nice condition S4. Looks good, and very low mileage as well which is a big bonus.

PS, S5's DO look better Sephiroth. hehehehe....j/k

Both my cars have been to the track, but i only got to run once in each....which was disapointing....
the accord ran a 17.07@ 81.95mph....i know i could be in the mid 16's because i didnt have a good launch and spun through 2 gears.... and the civic ran a 17.24@79.38mph blowing smoke like crazy!
Nice FC though.

"Ive also added a Racing Beat Fuel Cut Defender to stop the factory fuel cut at 8.5PSI....with everything im seeing almost 15PSI now.....its FAST!"

Now, I don't know much about S4's, but I do own a TII. If I remember correctly, running that high of PSI on the stock turbo is asking for trouble.

I'd recommend a manual boost controller and setting it down to 10 or so PSI (on the stock turbo).

Nice car, but...

On your pics page 10 you say you bought the car "bone stock" and then you list some mods like exhaust and gauges. There are no engine mods mentioned. Then you say this at the bottom of the page:

Ive also added a Racing Beat Fuel Cut Defender to stop the factory fuel cut at 8.5PSI....with everything im seeing almost 15PSI now.....its FAST!

So you're running 15# on a stock turbo and a stock fuel system? Uhhh...okay...

is it true you need a special license to own cars like lambos, and such? i think we need to do the same for the rx7, that way people wont be like "hey! i have enough money to buy a rx7! if you own a rx7, that means you have superior automotive knowlage instantly!"
then we can make them take a class, learn about the car, and then they will go "holy crap, my paycheck for the first month alone wont be enough to handle just the gas im going to use!"

well considering since adding the exhaust and fuel cut defender i have only gone full throtle a few times to see where the boost was goin, i dont think im in any danger of blowing it up....just ordered a manual boost controller actually and am in the process of upgrading the fuel injectors, pump and adding an adjustable FPR, and no i didnt just buy the car with no previous knowledge either, i know what you can and cant do with a rotary, i like how you all jump on me like im an idiot or somethin... f that

If he is creeping into 15 psi, boost controller will not help it lower it - he would need to port wastegate instead...

You might also think about how inefficent the stock turbo is at 15psi, the amount of heat it must be putting out is way more then stock specs... If your're going to run boost like crazy a Front Mount might be in line.

Most of the people here are just looking out for you , since no one really knows you or what kind of experience you DO have. People must throw out the facts they know to be true in hopes to make sure you don't lose your're new found prize.

Why not explain to everyone what kind of experience you do have, with cars. As well as in the rotary department?

That way people won't "jump down your throat" so to speak. Its true what others have said, alot of people post around here saying Its the rotaries fault for failing. Not mine. I thought it was normal to smell gas when I shut the car down." Things like that, then of course gives the bad reps and well people end up junking their cars because they didn't ask questions before taking action.

People here were just looking out for you and your car, since you joined the great community. Keep that in mind before telling other people what they are jumping at you.

Just some things to think about...

hey buddy, that b16 isnt jdm. jdm would have larger vtec writing than honda writing, and its ontop on the honda writing.

either that, or its a usdm b16 head on a b16a1 block.

15psi will eat that 53K motor might quick...stay out of boost until you get your fuel pump and port the wastegate. beautiful ride otherwise...

ok here are the facts...ive been workin on cars since i was 16, i rebuilt the motor on my accord myself, i was in the process of doin a motor swap on my civic when the rx7 came along, granted i didnt know much about rotarys so beforei bought the car i found this forum and started reading on the internet. since i added the FCD and exhausxt like i said i havnt gone full throtle because i need a way to control the boost and need more money for fuel mods. when it gets nice here again(in ohio) the accord will be back on the road and i can take the wastegate off the RX and port it. as for right now i just drive the car every day to work and school, i dont race around cause i cant afford a ticket, so im not worried about blowing it up....and ps: that b16 came from osaka japan, shipped to my buddies door, and its not a b16A like usdm b16's its a b16A1, straight from japan, 170horse stock....i know a tad more about hondas then rotarys...i work at a honda dealership....so theres my story......hope in the future i wont get jumped on for a line i wrote on my website....

Why not get a 97 GSR engine? or a 97 H22A engine?
97 was (I think) the best year ever for V-TEC. Much "faster"... and not much more expensive.

You have an awesome looking TII by the way.
Trade ya my 87 GXL for it ... After the motor is blown.
j/k Welcome to the RX-7 Club
