some electric probs???

i had a friend put in a sterio for me and it worked fine that day. ( there was a big hole with lots of wires. no radio was there) so we had found the wires and started hooking things up. we connected one wire and my head lights were going haywire up and down. took it off and it was fine. so anyways it was working great that day. got back in my car that night and it was flickering and my open door light came on dimly. and went down the road and it started doing it again but didnt stop and i started to smell something burning like rubber, so i yanked the cd player and cut all the wires right there. after all that my AC and heat doesnt come on at all like its dead and my lights on door dont come on and the clock only comes on when door is shut. what could have happened? i knw theres a breaker some where for the ac by the fuze box but i cant even find that unless thats the metal box underneth the steeringwheel.

The fuses are located in the fuse box by the drivers side kick panel. It sounds like someone wired the stereo incorrectly, a few times, finally it got bad enough that you melted some stuff. Who knows what you did? Do you know what wires you were hooking up, melting, cutting?????

stereo sounds like it was installed radically wrong. There is a full list of stereo wires in the FAQ for FC sticky threads found at the top of this section as well as in the new member technical section

and you have at very least a blown room fuse. You should always check the fuses before posting.
