Question Solid motor mounts who has them?

Please post what kind and name brand you are using. This is only for the FC3S.
Pics will also help out a lot.

Dude just about all solid mounts are just going to be a piece of metal with a stud or hole in the middle of it. These are from himni racing, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX-7-...31371358QQrdZ1.

. Not all solid motor mount are the same. There are a few solid motormounts out there that are made of diffrent materials. For example BANZAI racings, polyurethane and a small piece of aluminum as a motor mount.

This thread is to open up ideas for members that are going solid. Or for those who just dont like their set up and want to change theirs. Maybe with a little advice or tip from those using them will help.
Thank you -Alex

I ran solid aluminum blocks in the TII back when it was stock...I had minor (VERY minor) vibration in the car when idling, but other then that you couldn't notice a difference....other then the engine not moving at all under any load.

Now, I've tried the MMR mounts from eBay. Less vibration with them at idle (they're delrin mounts) and still all the benefits of solid as far as reduced engine movement.

BUT - the only thing I feel will be a problem with combining high HP and solid mounts will be the load placed on the housings and irons. Ive yet to run/tune the new setup, but I don't think my goals (mid-high 300 wheel) will tear apart the engine too fast.

The only other change to my setup now is that before I was using solid ENGINE mounts only, the tranny mounts were stock. Now I have the MMR delrins on the trans also...I figure it should help keep everything in line and make hard 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 shifts a little more accurate....
